Community Choir
In May 2022, Creative Places Darndale initiated the first call for our community choir. We were privileged to appoint Medb Hurley as our choir director, a role she has fulfilled with distinction ever since. The choir, formerly known as “The Voice of Darndale Choir,” has delivered memorable performances at our Made in Darndale Festivals. Notably, at our inaugural festival, composer Conor Mitchell crafted a unique song in collaboration with the Faoin Speir Festival specifically for the event.
In December 2022, the choir was honoured to receive an invitation from the Lord Mayor of Dublin to perform on the steps of the Mansion House, captivating a public audience. The choir has also graced the Christmas tree lighting ceremonies in the village square for the past two years.
Most recently, the choir performed at Priorswood Church, presenting a repertoire of beautiful melodies and timeless classics.
