Made in Darndale Festival 2024

Darndale came alive with a spectacular two-day celebration from 19 – 20 April, showcasing its vibrant culture and community spirit. The festivities featured a diverse range of performances and activities, bringing together locals for an unforgettable experience.

The event kicked off with the Faces of Darndale, an interactive community circus with drumming, song, and spoken word, hosted by Hugh Brown as Jitterbug Jackson. Crowds were entertained by the magic of Captain Ho Ho and a delightful puppet show from No Strings Theatre.

The following day, Darndale Park was buzzing with outdoor fun, including aerial circus performances by the Lamplighters, children’s garden games, art workshops, face painting, and a sensory space for neurodivergent children and their families. Walkabout interactive theater, an ice cream van, and more circus acts kept the energy high.

Inside the tent, families enjoyed a children’s show, lively music from DJ Tadhg Kinsella, and an interactive dance workshop with Vitoria  Escobar. The festival concluded with the Faces of Darndale Cabaret, hosted by Jitterbug Jackson and featuring talented local artists such as Lara Fitzsimons, Mark Flynn, Shaday Blake, and The Voice of Darndale Choir.
