Sphere Youth Theatre

Welcome to Sphere Youth Theatre, a dynamic initiative dedicated to nurturing the talents and creativity of young people in our community. Our mission is to provide engaging and empowering youth drama experiences through a variety of workshops and public performances.

About Sphere Youth Theatre

Early in 2024, Creative Places established a youth theatre group in collaboration with Sphere 17. We commissioned Graham O’Neill, our dynamic new youth theatre Coordinator, to lead this exciting initiative.

Under the visionary direction of Graham O’Neill and youth work support, Gary Mullen, young artists bring original narratives to life through movement, sound, and improvisation, offering audiences a glimpse into their vibrant imaginations.

What We Do

Our activities are designed to foster a love for theatre and drama among young people.

  • Drama Workshops: We conduct regular drama workshops tailored for young people, ensuring they have a platform to express themselves creatively. Workshops are held every Monday evening from 7:30 to 9:30 pm at St. Benedict’s Resource Centre in Kilbarrack. These sessions are completely free and welcome new members aged 13-18.
  • Public Performances: We facilitate public performances of youth drama, giving young people the opportunity to showcase their talents. Their debut performances of  ‘The Gallery’ recently took place as part of Criunnui na nOg to full houses.
